BISMARCK — Governor Doug Burgum has directed all government agencies to fly the United States and North Dakota flags at half-staff from 12:01 a.m. to noon Monday, May 30, and encourages North Dakotans to do the same at their homes and businesses, in observance of Memorial Day.
The governor’s directive is in accordance with a proclamation issued by President Joe Biden.
Burgum will pay tribute to our nation’s military heroes during two Memorial Day ceremonies Monday. The governor will deliver remarks during ceremonies at 12 p.m. at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery near Mandan and at 3 p.m. inside Maple Sheyenne Lutheran Church next to the Fargo National Cemetery near Harwood. Both ceremonies are free and open to the public.
