NEW TOWN — The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a woman died in a collision with a semi Monday morning.
According to the NDHP, the 80-year-old woman was turning onto Highway 23 from a driveway in dense fog as a semi hauling a tanker loaded with diesel fuel was approaching. The driver of the semi attempted to avoid her but stuck her sending both vehicles into the ditch.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi driver was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
