MINOT — The Minot Police Department held an award ceremony Wednesday to announce the Officer of the Year and Employee of the Year nominations and winners.
Master Officer Taylor Jensen is the recipient of this year’s Officer of the Year Award. Officer Jensen started with the police department in August 2012. In her 9 years with the department, she has accomplished many things and all of those due to her willingness to take some risks and dedicate her time to areas she thought would advance our department. Master Officer Jensen is currently assigned to patrol as a K9 handler with her partner Caspian. She also took on the role as command of the Bomb Squad in June of 2021, which uses up much of her free time.
Other nominees for this year’s award are:
Master Officer Jenna Bjork
Master Officer Kenton Kossan
Master Officer Andrew Mehlhoff
Master Officer Robbie Sumlin
Sgt. Joshua Noyes
In addition, Christine Roberts is the recipient of the 2021 Employee of the Year Award. Christine is currently an Administrative Clerk Principal assigned to our Community Outreach Section and works out of the Police Records Section. She began her career with the Police Department in November 2006 and has worked in her current role since 2010. This is her 2nd Award for employee of the year in her 15 years with the department.
Other nominees for this year’s award are:
Margaret Haugan
