BISMARCK — “There has never been a better chance for North Dakota to lead this country. Blessed with communities, with soil, everything between, and energy resources make it imperative to think about the advantages we have in North Dakota,” Governor Burgum said.
A sold-out crowd of 375 people attended the Governor’s Dinner Friday night at Sixteen03 Main Events Center.
Ed Schafer, former governor of North Dakota stated, “We need to be focusing on North Dakota as a whole and brining the committed people together to encourage finding the Republican principles and values, we as a party need to come back to. Take the focus off the skirmishes on social issues, parental rights and focus on what we stand for as Republicans in North Dakota. People are upset, because they believe those core values have gotten lost. “
The event was one of the kick-offs for the Republican State Convention being held at the Bismarck Events Center April 1-2, 2022.
“A teacher shortage is a big concern in North Dakota and education. Where our country is going right now is showing we need to keep our education at a local level in the state, keeping D.C. out of it. We have unique surpluses in North Dakota to help in our education, but we are facing a major teacher shortage that needs handled,” said Rep. Kelly Armstrong, R-ND.
“If we can put people to work, I think North Dakota can replace strategic energy across the world,” Senator Kevin Cramer, R-ND, added.
