MINOT — All City of Minot offices will be closed Wednesday and Thursday due to the snow storm that is expected to blanket the Minot area with multiple inches of wet snow.

City offices were already scheduled to be closed Friday for the Good Friday holiday.

  • City Hall and Public Works will be closed Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
  • The City transit buses will not operate Wednesday or Thursday, but will run a regular schedule on Friday, weather permitting
  • There will be no residential garbage collection Thursday or Friday
  • The Minot landfill will be closed Wednesday and Thursday, but is scheduled to be open from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, weather permitting
  • Rosehill Cemetery will be closed Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
  • Municipal Court will be closed Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
  • The Minot Public Library will be closed Wednesday and Friday, but is scheduled to be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, weather permitting.

“We want to make sure our employees are safe, and we want to keep as many vehicles off city streets as possible to help our snow removal crews do their job,” City Manager Harold Stewart said. “We expect our offices to be open and city services to be running normally on Monday, April 18, weather permitting, of course.”

City snow removal crews will follow the city’s regular snow plan that begins with snow emergency routes, followed by hills and school zones, residential areas and downtown, and sidewalks.
