BISMARCK — Governor Doug Burgum has directed the Capitol and other state facilities in the Bismarck area to remain closed through Thursday as a snow emergency remains in effect in the city of Bismarck and ongoing blizzard conditions continue to make roads impassable in areas throughout the city.

No travel was advised across most of the state Wednesday evening. A National Weather Service blizzard warning is in effect for much of the state until 7 p.m. Thursday.

State facilities will reopen Monday for in-person service. Offices are closed on Friday for the Good Friday holiday.
