WASHINGTON, D.C. — Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer today joined Senators Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) and Tina Smith (D-Minn.), in introducing a bipartisan Senate Resolution calling for Thursday, March 24, 2022, to be designated as “National Women in Agriculture Day.”

“There are more than 1,200,000 female agricultural producers in the United States, making up more than a third of the agricultural producers in the United States,” the resolution states. “In addition to leading farming operations, women working in agriculture make a difference across the United States in various commodity and industry fields, such as research and development, manufacturing, sales and distribution, agricultural education, agribusiness and advocacy.”

In addition to Hoeven, Cramer, Ernst and Smith, the resolution is cosponsored by 54 Senators. Click here to view the text of the resolution.
