MINOT — The Minot Fire Department says a small fire caused damage to the roof of a home in northwest Minot on Monday afternoon.
The Minot Fire Department was dispatched at 4:45 p.m. on Monday for a report of smoke coming from the roof of the home.
When fire units arrived on scene, they found light smoke coming from the roof. Crews worked to access the small space in the attic to find the source of the smoke. The fire was extinguished using pressurized water extinguishers and damage was limited to a small area in the roof.
All occupants exited the home safely. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
