Neil Roberts:
He spent 30 years as a Major League Baseball umpire. And with thousands of games and players over the years. Gary, I'm guessing you saw a lot of pictures in your day. Give me one that was really difficult to call balls and strikes on because their stuff was so nasty.
Gary Cederstrom:
Randy Johnson stands out. His arm angle was kind of from the side street corner, and his ball ran obviously to real hard at that time. He had a nasty slider and he was conveniently wild. He kept batters loose and it was always the second stringers will call him. The bench players got a lot of playing time when Randy pitched.
Neil Roberts:
He did. All right. Hey, we'll talk about a hitter that comes to mind when we come back.

We're with former umpire Gary Cedarstorm, now retired from Minot, North Dakota. And Gary, how about the hitter that hit the most hard balls outside the zone?
Gary Cederstrom:
Well, Neil, to come to mind, Larry Guerrero, the only guy I saw hit a ball off his shoe tops out of the park. And Kirby Puckett, he didn't have to dig in. He was a see ball hit ball. You always see one thing you're never going to do. When I hit, I said was that call me out because I'm going to hit one in the first three and the outside pitch boom. He'd go to hack to the right field corner, inside pitch, he'd pull it down the third baseline, high pitch. He'd get up there and get it. Now, Kirby, what was he, five, eight, five, nine? Yeah. He came up hacking.
Neil Roberts:
