The Dakotan:
And now it's time for Spring Fever with the Twins with Neil Roberts from Fort Myers, Florida.
Neil Roberts:
Florida, from Herb Carneal to John Gordon and now Cory Provus all into double digit years of do and Twins play by play. And Cory joins us now. And Cory, that's pretty good company.
Cory Provus:
Great company. Very, very fortunate to be in that same group with two legends. You know Herb's in the Hall of Fame. John Gordon, Twins Hall of Fame I think will be in Cooperstown one day as well. So I'm very, very blessed and very lucky to be part of that group.
Neil Roberts:
How about Spring Training now? You've had a chance to see the team kicking around a little bit. Thoughts going in. I know a lot of young guys coming off a subpar season, but I know Tom Kelly says it always comes down to pitching and I think he might be right again.
Cory Provus:
Well, normally, honestly, spring training for me has been on the more boring side because there's really not much to be decided. Maybe there's a spot in the rotation, infield spot, bullpen spot, but there's just not that kind of general excitement. Well, this year, to me, it's the exact opposite. I think there are so many spots to be had on this team that this 26 man roster now, and I think it may even expand for a little bit.
Cory Provus:
There just to cover the first couple of weeks of the season to what number 27. 28, I don't know, but I think there are numerous spots to be had right now.
Neil Roberts:
All right. Hey, we'll talk pandemic to lockout when we come back.

Neil Roberts:
We're with Twins Play-By-Play radio announcer Cory, Provus and Corey, what are some interesting times I only came on here from the Brewers, the Twins you probably couldn't have imagined. I know I couldn't have been down for 20 some years covering the doing some preseason stuff going from a pandemic right into a lockout like it's happened of course every five years or so.
Neil Roberts:
But timing hasn't been just kind of crazy.
Cory Provus:
Yes. Srange for everybody but what's been great so far is to have access to the clubhouse on the field again and to meet people that I was talking to virtually in the last couple of years. I got to meet Joe Ryan, the up and coming young Twins starter and some face time with him and Bailey Bver because they've had been close to catcher.
Cory Provus:
I've seen his name a lot, but I haven't really met him. So just trying to go round and meet people and say hello, and shake McLaughlin's hand and give him a hug and see Polanco and see Buxton and Kepler face to face. It's just been too long.
Neil Roberts:
All right, Corey, hey, thanks for your time. I know I speak on behalf of all Twins fans are really appreciate you. I keep doing the hard work and keep it rolling.
Cory Provus:
It's not really work, but I appreciate that. It's fun.
Neil Roberts:
Cory, Provus, everybody. That concludes this addition. Until next time. I'm Neil Roberts.
