MINOT — Minot Police say Tuesday’s lockdown of Trinity Hospital came as a result of a social media threat.
According to police, they notified Trinity of a threatening post on Facebook, and Trinity responded with the lockdown. A police department spokesman said Tuesday afternoon that the Facebook threat does not appear to be credible, but they are continuing to investigate.
The spokesman said Tuesday afternoon that there was no active threat “at the moment” and no estimation of how long the investigation will be.

MINOT — Trinity Health has initiated a full facility lockdown Tuesday morning due to an external threat. This lockdown is out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our patients and staff.
Visitors and patients must use either the north or south entrance of Trinity Hospital and the west entrance of Trinity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital. The only visitors allowed into either facility are those currently here and/or those who have been screened at the designated access doors.
