MINOT - Minot City Manager Harold Stewart is once again in the spotlight as he has been named a finalist for the city manager position in Pasco, Washington. This marks the second time in recent months that Stewart has been considered for a similar role in the Pacific Northwest.
The City of Pasco announced this week that Stewart is one of three finalists invited to take part in a two-day evaluation process, which includes a public meet-and-greet on Sunday, July 13, and formal interviews on Monday, July 14.
Stewart, who has served as Minot’s city manager since 2020, has been instrumental in overseeing the city’s strategic planning, infrastructure projects, flood control initiatives, and budgeting efforts. His tenure has been marked by a push for long-term stability, modernization of internal systems, and cautious fiscal management.
In May, Stewart was named a finalist for the city manager position in Lakewood, Washington, drawing public attention in Minot and raising questions about his future with the city. While he was not ultimately selected for that role, his interest in new opportunities appears to be continuing.
Stewart has over two decades of experience in public service, including six years as city manager of Warrensburg, Missouri, prior to his move to Minot. He holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Kansas.
Pasco, a fast-growing city of over 80,000 residents in southeastern Washington, is seeking a new city manager to lead its nearly 500-person workforce and oversee a range of community development projects. The city is hosting public engagement events this week to gather feedback on the finalists before making a final decision.
