Minot - District 38 Republican candidates Dan Ruby and Christina Wolff have secured seats in the North Dakota House, defeating Democratic candidate Lisa Hermosillo by over 3,000 votes. In the Senate race, Republican candidate David Hogue won his seat unopposed, completing a successful election night for the District 38 Republicans in these state legislative races.
Ruby, the incumbent Representative for District 38, has served in the North Dakota House since 2001. With the recent implementation of term limits, this current term will officially count as his second, meaning he will be ineligible to run for re-election to the ND House once it concludes. Wolff will replace long-term District 38 Representative, Larry Bellew. She has been a business owner in Minot since 2011.
