MOORHEAD, Minn. – Host Minnesota State Moorhead sandwiched touchdowns around the halftime break to open up a lead on the visiting Minot State Beavers, who fell 56-14 to the MSU Moorhead Dragons on the road Saturday afternoon.
The Dragons improved to 1-1 on the year and 1-1 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play, while the Beavers fell to 0-2 overall and 0-2 in conference matchups.

“Disappointed in our performance collectively - all three phases of the game we were overmatched," Beavers head coach Ian Shields said.
"We need to coach better, play better, lead better, train better, lift better; basically do everything attached to our program better to become a competitive program.
"We will get there - we have a resilient group, young men that care a great deal, and are determined to turn this program around.
"There’s no flinch in our operation - we’ve just got to keep grinding, keep believing, keep learning from these valuable lessons and grow from them.”
