NARRATIVE: On Saturday March 30, 2024, at approximately 11:52 pm, a fatal crash occurred between a Chevrolet Suburban and an Amtrak train near the intersection of 67th Street NW and 110th Ave NW approximately 5 miles west of Tioga. The Chevrolet Suburban was stopped on the railroad tracks facing west. The eastbound Amtrak train struck the suburban. The suburban then overturned and came to rest on the north side of the railroad tracks. The driver, a 26 year old male, was ejected. The driver was pronounced deceased on scene. Release of the name will be conducted after notification of kin.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
