Minot State University release

MINOT – The Minot State men’s basketball team made history as the Beavers cracked the NCAA Top 25.
Winners of five straight and sitting in third in the NSIC with a 13-3 overall record, the Minot State men were ranked No. 21 in this week’s NABC Division II Top 25 poll released this afternoon.
The national ranking is the first for the Beavers (13-3 overall, 8-2 NSIC) since becoming a full-fledged member of NCAA Division II during the 2012-13 and the first since Minot State was ranked No. 19 in the February 8, 2010, NAIA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll.
The 21st-ranked Beavers now find themselves preparing for a Top 25-battle as Minot State will host No. 1-ranked Minnesota State, Mankato (16-0, 10-0) this Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the MSU Dome in the second half of a men’s and women’s doubleheader.
The Minot State women tip off the evening’s action hosting formerly No. 2-ranked MSU, Mankato at 5:30 p.m.
