MINOT – Looking to expand the practice facilities for teams and also create more office and learning spaces in the MSU Dome, the first phase of renovations began on Monday with the removal of the bleachers on the east side of the third floor.
“Thanks to some creative thinking and contributions we were able to begin work on the third floor to create indoor practice space for the men’s and women’s golf teams along with providing more classroom and conference space for our teams to use for game preparation and film review,” said Kevin Forde, Minot State’s Director of Athletics. “We plan to add more office space for our coaching and administrative staffs in this area and eventually build a bank of suites overlooking the floor of the Dome.”
The first phase of renovations – removal of the east side third floor bleachers – is expected to be completed by the end of December.
The third floor of the MSU Dome will remain open during the current renovations, but the east side of the third floor will be closed to the public.
