NARRATIVE:
A single-vehicle rollover where the driver sustained fatal injuries happened about three miles west of Glen Ullin in the early morning hours of Sunday 10/22/2023. A white 2014 Ford F250 Super Duty was traveling west out of Glen Ullin, on Morton County Road 139, heading to a residence near the area of the crash. The pickup was driven by a 22-year-old male. The pickup drove off the right side of the roadway and drove in the ditch for several hundred feet before vaulting over an approach and striking the end of a metal bridge rail that protected the bridge near 40 ½ Street. The pickup overturned in the ditch and came to rest in the Big Muddy Creek. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and was found submerged in the creek.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. There
are no other occupants suspected of being in the vehicle when it crashed. This crash is being investigated by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
