NARRATIVE: On Monday, September 18, 2023, the Mercury, driven by Meyer, was
westbound on US Highway 2. At an unknown time, near mile marker 221, the Mercury ran off
the roadway right, entered the north ditch, struck an approach, vaulted, rolled onto its roof,
and came to rest in a grove of trees. On Tuesday, September 19, 2023, law enforcement
received a report of an overdue motorist. At 1333 hours, the Mercury was discovered by law
enforcement. The driver was pronounced deceased on scene.
