Crash Involvement: A semi driving westbound struck a pedestrian in the road.
Agencies Involved: Valley City Police Department, Barnes County Sheriff’s Office, Barnes
County Rescue, Barnes County Ambulance, and the ND Highway Patrol.
Vehicle No. 1: 2019 Freightliner
Driver No. 1: Chad Heller, 46, West Fargo, ND- not injured.

Pedestrian: Cameron Davis Red Bird, 35, Bismarck, ND- Fatal
NARRATIVE:
At 3:03am the 2019 Freightliner was westbound on I-94 near milepost 299. The Freightliner
was in the right lane. At that time, Cameron D. Red Bird was walking westbound in the middle
of the right lane when he was struck by the semi. The Freightliner slowed and stopped on the
shoulder facing west. Cameron Red Bird was pronounced deceased on scene. The crash
remains under investigation by the ND Highway Patrol.
