NARRATIVE:
The Hyundai was traveling eastbound on Highway 2 in the right lane. The Freightliner was
traveling south on an unnamed road. The freightliner failed to yield the right of way, crossed
the westbound lanes, entered the median crossover, turning east onto Hwy 2. The freightliner
turned into the right eastbound lane in front of the Hyundai. The Hyundai struck the rear end
of the Freightliner’s trailer. The Freightliner came to rest on the eastbound shoulder. The
Hyundai came to rest in the south ditch. The occupants of the Hyundai were transported by
ambulance to Tioga Medical Center. The female occupant was later transferred to Trinity
Health in Minot, ND.
The Crash remains under investigation of the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
