MINOT—Safe Kids Minot will host its second annual “Wild About Safety” event Thursday, June 22, from 2 to 7 p.m. at Roosevelt Park Zoo. Families will enjoy free admission to the zoo, courtesy of Enbridge.
The community event will share safety tips with families and include bounce houses, food trucks, safety exhibits, games and giveaways spread throughout the zoo and the south side of Roosevelt Park. The inaugural Wild About Safety event in June 2022 drew more than 1,900 community members.
“Wild About Safety brings professionals from around the community together to share safety information that aligns with our mission to decrease the number of injuries and deaths to children 0-19 years of age, whether at home, at play or on the way,” said Amber Emerson, Safe Kids Minot Coordinator.
This year’s exhibits will provide information on fire safety, sports safety, safe sleep for infants and more. EMS vehicles such as Trinity Health First Response air and Minot Air Force Base Fire safety trailer will also be present for tours and information.
