MINOT -- The Magic City Discovery Center and Minot Parks would like to invite the public to our 5
th annual Touch-A-Truck event on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. The event will be held in
the MAYSA Arena parking lot from 5-8 p.m.
There will be “quiet hour” from 5-6 p.m. with no lights, noises, or motions for families with
children who have sensory needs.
Executive director Wendy Keller shared, “Touch-A-Truck is such a great family event and there
are things for kids of ALL ages. Come on out to check out all the fun!”
Touch-A-Truck is a free community wide event that involves both public and private entities,
allowing children the opportunity to explore vehicles of all types: public service, agriculture,
emergency, construction, utility, transportation, excavating, delivery trucks, and more. The
event provides a hands-on experience to see, sit in, sit on, climb in, feel, and experience many
different vehicles in a safe family friendly environment. Children and families get to interact
with the community members who operate the wide range of vehicles.
There will be different activities for children and food trucks serving a variety of delicious eats.
The mission of the MCDC is to engage children and families in the magic of lifelong learning
through discovery, creativity, and play.
Information regarding the Touch-A-Truck event, annual and corporate memberships,
admission, and hours can be found at MagicCityDiscoveryCenter.com and the center’s
Facebook page.
