NARRATIVE: A 2008 Ford F350 was traveling westbound on Highway 1804 near mile
marker 283 being driven by a 49 year old male from Williston. A 2010 Toyota Highlander was
traveling eastbound at the time of the crash. The Toyota was driven by a 40 year old male
from Dickinson and had a 57 year old male passenger from Hedgesville, WV. The Ford failed
to negotiate a slight curve in the road and crossed into the eastbound lanes.
The Ford pickup struck the Toyota head on, causing both vehicles to spin and come to rest in the south ditch. The driver of the Toyota was pronounced deceased on scene. The passenger was transported
via ambulance first to Tioga Medical Center and then to Trinity Health in Minot due to the
injuries sustained. The driver of the Ford was transported to Tioga Medical Center via
ambulance due to injuries sustained.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
