WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer, R-ND, ranking member of Senate Environment and Public Works Subcommittee on Transportation and Infrastructure, announced the Federal Aviation Administration warded a total of $1,450,000 to Rugby and Ashley Municipal Airports.
The resources will be administered through the FAA’s Airport Terminal Program, a grant established in the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, for allocation as follows:
Rugby Municipal Airport will receive $500,000 to renovate its existing general aviation terminal building, enhance its energy efficiency, and improve passenger accessibility. Ashley Municipal Airport will receive $950,000 to construct a new general aviation terminal building.
“This funding from the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is another win for North Dakota,” said Senator Cramer. “Small airports are important to our rural landscape, and these resources will support key upgrades for the Ashley and Rugby Municipal Airports.”
