NARRATIVE: A Ford pickup hauling a gooseneck trailer was traveling eastbound on Highway 2 near mile marker 49, west of Ray. A John Deere tractor towing a bailer was traveling eastbound in the same area. The pickup was driven by Kyle Henson of Minot. Henson failed to see the slow-moving tractor being driven by Thomas Daniel of Ray. Henson then struck the rear end of the tractor. Daniel was ejected from the tractor and suffered serious injuries as a result. After striking Daniel, Henson continued into the south ditch where his vehicle came to rest. Henson was pinned in the vehicle and had to be extricated. Henson also suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash. Both Henson and Daniel were transported via ambulance to Tioga Medical Center in Tioga.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
