The Minot International Airport has earned a training excellence award from the American Association of Airport Executives.
The award certifies that Airport employees have completed training for airport-specific and continuing education programs using the DigiCast on-demand web-based training system, which offers employees more than 300 training videos on a wide range of subjects, including airport operations, management, security, customer service, human resources, and more.
“We enrolled in the DigiCast training program not even a year ago, so having our employees invest their time in completing various training sessions so quickly is a testament to their willingness to continue to learn and get better at their jobs,” Airport Director Jennifer Eckman said. “The DigiCast platform is a great resource for employees, and we’re glad to see their efforts have been rewarded.”
Minot staff members completed 482 training sessions in 2021. Airport Operations Technician Dave Draper was Minot’s top achiever with 102 completed tests, which earned him a Hall of Fame Level 2 recognition. Eckman said the training programs are helpful for new employees, but also for employees seeking professional development and those working to enhance their airline industry knowledge.
