MINOT – The new turf is hitting the ground at Herb Parker Stadium and will be ready for action when the Minot State football and soccer teams kick off their seasons in early September.

The project began Monday with the removal of the old turf and now Beaver fans can own a little piece of Herb Parker as the rolls of old turf are being sold for $10 per roll.

The sections are being sold by the North Dakota State Surplus, and checks should be made out to State Surplus. Cash and credit options are also available.

For more information, contact 858-4093.

The Minot State football team makes its debut on the new turf at Herb Parker Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 3, at 1 p.m., hosting Winona State in the season opener for both teams.

The Minot State soccer team is slated to host three scrimmages on the new turf in August, against the Magic City Legends U19 on August 13 at 7 p.m., against the University of Winnipeg on August 16 at 5 p.m., and against Laramie County Community College at 7 p.m. on August 18.

The Beaver women’s soccer team will make its official home debut at Herb Parker on Sunday, Sept. 4, hosting Emporia State at 1 p.m.
