St. Joseph's Community Health Foundation Awards Scholarships

Gives $16,900 to Minot State University Students

MINOT — St. Joseph’s Community Health Foundation (SJCHF) is pleased to announce the 2022 recipients  of nine scholarships totaling $16,900.  Each year SJCHF awards scholarships to Minot State University (MSU) students in the fields of Nursing, Communication Disorders and Social Work.  Students are selected by the MSU faculty in each of the areas of study based on academic achievement and other determining factors. 

“SJCHF awards scholarships to recognize students choosing to have a career in the fields of nursing, communication disorders and social work,” said Shelly Weppler, SJCHF President. “It has been a pleasure to meet the students and see how much these scholarships impact their ability to focus on their studies and future.”

This year’s MSU Nursing Scholarships have been awarded to Tea Boeckel, Patricia Brewer, Nolan Compere, Madison Fried, Kimberly Knispel, Laura Peters, and Brook Scheresky.  The MSU Communication Disorders Scholarship has been award to Nadya Keenan, and the MSU Social Work Scholarship to Felicia Tart.

St. Joseph’s Community Health Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) public charity community foundation formed in June of 1998 with proceeds from the sale of a local hospital.  The Foundation has awarded over $11.3 million in grants to organizations for many worthwhile projects to assist with programs that address quality of life issues in North Central North Dakota.
