WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senators Kevin Cramer (R-ND), member of the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee, and Jon Ossoff (D-GA) introduced the bipartisan Military Families Mental Health Services Act to help military families access vital mental health care services. The bipartisan bill waives out-of-pocket costs for military families and veterans on TRICARE for their first three outpatient mental health visits per year, empowering them to receive the treatment they need.
“Providing mental health resources for veterans and servicemembers who bravely serve and sacrifice for our country must be a top priority for Congress. Our bill expanding mental health services will provide more accessible resources for North Dakota military families and veterans to ensure they get the care they need,” said Senator Cramer.
“Our bipartisan bill will expand free access to counseling and mental health services for servicemembers and their families, who make great sacrifices for our nation, endure great stress in so doing, and deserve nothing less than the care they need when they need it,” said Senator Ossoff.
