ROSS — The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a woman was injured in a crash with a train in Mountrail County.
According to the NDHP, a 34-year-old Williston woman was traveling on 95th Ave NW about 6 miles from Ross around noon. She failed to yield to the oncoming Burlington Northern train and collided with it. She was ejected through the passenger window.
The driver was transported to Stanley Hospital and later transferred to Trinity Hospital in Minot. The engineer and conductor on the train were not injured.
The crash remains under investigation, but charges are pending.
