LISBON — The North Dakota Highway Patrol says five people were injured when the vehicle they were in entered a washout and hit an embankment Wednesday evening.
According to the NDHP, Wesley Alinder, 43, Lisbon, was driving on 127th Avenue SE in the 7200 block, which was closed due to erosion washing out the culvert. The vehicle entered the washout and struck the opposite embankment.
Alinder and the four teenage passengers were not wearing their seatbelts and sustained serious, non-life threatening injuries.
Sanford Airmed transported three of the patients, utilizing two helicopters and one fixed-wing aircraft.
The crash remains under investigation.
