MINOT — The City of Minot has rescheduled its spring cleanup week after the recent storm that dumped 48 inches of snow on the city.
The spring cleanup week that was scheduled for May 2-6 has been moved to May 16-20.
The household hazardous waste/E-waste collection scheduled for May 6-7 will take place as planned at Public Works, located at 1025 31st Street SE.
“With the amount of snow still on the ground, we feel it’s in everyone’s best interest if we move spring cleanup week back to allow the snow to melt, which will create more space on curbs for residents to place unwanted items,” Sanitation Superintendent Josh Kraft said. “Rescheduling this will also ensure that our crews have enough room on city streets to maneuver our trucks and trailers that we use to collect items.”
From May 16-21, city sanitation customers can also bring unwanted items to the city landfill for free by providing a water bill as proof they are customers.
