MINOT — The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a single engine aircraft had mechanical issues Friday afternoon and had to land in an open field.
According to the NDHP, the aircraft landed near 55th St NE and 19th Ave NE at 4:25 p.m.
The pilot and passenger were not injured, but the aircraft was damaged a little during landing.
The incident remains under investigation by the FAA. Other assisting agencies include Ward County Sheriff’s Office, Minot Police Department, Minot Community Ambulance, and Minot Rural Fire Department.
