LAMOURE COUNTY – Josh Loegering has announced his run for the State House in District 28.
Loegering grew up on a farm in central Minnesota, the oldest of nine children. He attended North Dakota State University and obtained a degree in Civil Engineering. Josh and his wife, Christine, have been married for 13 years and have six children.
Loegering is a licensed professional engineer and has worked for the North Dakota Department of Transportation in Bismarck and for KLJ in their Valley City office. Currently, he is the LaMoure County Highway Superintendent and has been in that position since March of 2018.
“Working for LaMoure County has been the best job of my career,” said Loegering. “I love serving the citizens of LaMoure County and ensuring they have a safe and efficient transportation system.” While with KLJ, Loegering served as the county engineer for Dickey and McIntosh Counties. Loegering serves on the executive board for the North Dakota Association of County Engineers, is a road supervisor for Gladstone Township and is a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church parish council.
“I have considered running for state office the past few years, and when I was contacted by local citizens about my interest in running for the state house, I felt it was the right time,” said Loegering. “Being fiscally conservative, I have been concerned with the excessive spending by the state in the past few years.” Loegering says he is pro-life, pro-family, and pro-community. He also says he is in favor of term limits and defense of property rights and says he would support that in the state house.
