MINOT — A 14-year-old pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck Monday morning in southwest Minot, prompting a response from Minot PD and emergency personnel.
The incident occurred around 7:50 a.m. on March 31 along 11th Avenue SW, between Jim Hill Middle School and the First District Health Unit. According to the Minot Police Department, the pedestrian was crossing the road outside a designated crosswalk when they were hit by an eastbound pickup truck. The teen sustained non-life-threatening injuries and received medical attention at the scene.
Minot PD noted that severe sun glare played a significant role in the driver’s inability to see and stop in time. The incident remains under investigation.
