SCORES: Minot State 3-4, Minnesota Crookston 1-7
CROOKSTON, Minn. --The Minot State Beavers came up with their third last at-bat win in four days, rallying to beat host Minnesota Crookston in the opener of an NSIC softball doubleheader on Wednesday and earn a road split.
The Beavers (23-17 overall, 10-8 NSIC) took the opener 3-1 thanks to a pair of runs in the top of the seventh but couldn’t complete the sweep as the Golden Eagles took the nightcap 7-4.
The Minot State softball team now returns home to host Winona State on Saturday in another NSIC doubleheader, then entertains Upper Iowa on Sunday for “Senior Day.”
