On March 20, 2023, Scott Ramon Parizek, Ruthville, a 33-year-old male, was arrested for Negligent Homicide and False Information to Law Enforcement, as the result of a month’s long investigation in to a motor vehicle crash in Northeast Ward County that occurred on August 8th, 2022. Kyra Derouin, 28-year-old, was injured in the crash and died on August 19th, 2022 at Trinity Hospital as a result of those injuries.
Parizek is currently being held in the Ward County Detention Center without bond, pending his initial appearance. The Ward County Sheriff’s Department was assisted in the investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol, North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation, McHenry County Sheriff’s Department and the Minot Police Department.
