NARRATIVE:
Bismarck, ND – The North Dakota Highway Patrol was awarded advanced accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. The NDHP has been accredited since 1989 and received meritorious recognition for being accredited for more than 15 continuous years. The NDHP must comply with more than 350 professional public safety standards to maintain its accreditation status.
Accreditation was awarded to the NDHP on Saturday, November 19, 2022, during a CALEA conference in St. Louis, MO.
“Our dedicated team members continually prove they’re capable of meeting the highest standards of professional excellence in the field of law enforcement,” said Colonel Brandon Solberg.
A new four-year accreditation cycle began on May 1, 2022. CALEA was established in 1979 through the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives, the National Sheriff’s Association, and the Police Executive Research Forum.
