REYNOLDS — The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the strong and gusty winds led to two separate rollover crashes near Reynolds Wednesday afternoon.
According to the NDHP, both vehicles were traveling north on Interstate 29. Strong, gusty west winds associated with a fast-moving storm caused them to tip onto their sides.
A pickup pulling a RV came to rest blocking the outside lane and part of the inside lane of northbound traffic. A semi pulling an empty trailer came to rest in the east ditch and did not obstruct traffic.
The driver of the pickup was transported by ambulance to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the semi was not injured.
Northbound traffic was reduced to one lane for about 2 and a half hours while the vehicles were being righted and removed.
