The Dakotan:
This is Outdoor Issues with Neil Roberts and North Dakota Game and Fish outreach biologist Greg Gullickson.

Neil Roberts:
Greg, your department has been a supporter of youth and education for many years, and there is a particular scholarship being offered from the North Dakota Game Warden Association. Tell us about that.

Greg Gullickson:
Yeah, there's actually two. $600 scholarships, and these are sponsored by the North Dakota Game Wardens Association. The Ray gets from Oriole Fund and the report all poachers hotline. So the scholarships are for graduating high school seniors or current higher education students interested in majoring in wildlife law enforcement or related field. To apply for these scholarships, you must be in North Dakota resident in good academic standing and have an interest in wildlife, law enforcement or related field. Scholarships will be awarded in the fall upon proof of an enrollment. Applications are pretty easy to do. They're available by contacting the North Dakota Game Wardens Association, and there's a link to their website on the Game and Fish Department Web page. Applicants must be received no later than July 8th. So to all those students interested in a career, specifically in wildlife law enforcement. This is a great opportunity to apply for some of these scholarships.

Neil Roberts:
Good stuff, Greg. And hey, we'll have more on education when we come back.

Greg Gullickson:
College education is really important, whether it's socially, it's a two year or an undergraduate or graduate degree. Some great opportunities, right, in North Dakota. Go Dakota College about no. MSU Valley City State. North Dakota State has a great program. You and has a great program. And we're wrapped up finishing out my education was at South Dakota State and they're about the number two school in the nation for wildlife management.

Neil Roberts:
Good stuff, Greg. And that brings this report to a close. If you miss one, check us on the website
