This is Ag Issues with Neil Roberts.

Neil Roberts:
Welcome to another edition of Ag Issues. Our guest this week is NDSU Crop Protection Specialist T.J. Prochaska. From the North Central Research Extension Center. And T.J. NDSU Fieldays are continuing across the region. And the event south of Minot is coming soon. Tell us more about it.

TJ Prochaska:
That's right. We've been pretty busy here at the north central RTC over the last few weeks preparing for an annual field day. Field day this year will occur Wednesday, July the 20th, with events kicking off at about 8:30 a.m.. We really want to reflect back on some of the issues we've seen over this growing season, as well as some of the big problems we experienced a year ago. We'll kick things off with the Pest ID clinic, really focusing on some of the top weeds, insects and plant diseases growers experienced over the last year.

Neil Roberts:
Good stuff. Looking forward to that. And hey, we'll have more on the Mine Field Day when we come.

TJ Prochaska:
Yeah, we've got a great lineup this year encompassing several different areas. Always. One of the big fan favorites probably is Dr. Andrew Green, our industry spring wheat breeder. He's going to provide an update on some of the new harder at spring wheat varieties and experiments occurring throughout the state. Our new forage specialist James Rodgers is going to talk about cool and work season mixtures for forage productions and a cool topic. One of our own research specialists, Austin Craig Luke, is going to talk about his project looking at interceding with corn and alfalfa. Of course, not least some of the other topics aside, we'll focus on some soil health issues, some brand new soybean image, pest insects in the area, as well as some new microbiome and biological products that are available for farmer use.

Neil Roberts:
All right. Good stuff, TJ. Looking forward to that. And that will bring a wrap to this edition. If you miss one, catch us on the website at agissues.com. Until next time. I'm Neil Roberts.
