Biggest Impact Expected in Southern ND

BISMARCK – A large area of southern North Dakota appears to be in the bullseye as a weather system is expected to bring significant snowfall to the state once again.

The heaviest snowfall, up to 8 inches, is expected from Dickinson to Bismarck, nearly to Jamestown. Minot is expected to see minimal snowfall, once again escaping the worst of a winter weather system. The time of the storm, says the National Weather Service, is “likely from early Sunday into Monday.

Initial forecasts are expected to change as the path of the storm becomes more predictable, but the NWS says “Heavier snowfall accumulations possible, with uncertainty in exact locations of potentially greater snow amounts...”
