Where: 400 Block of 11th Street NE, approximately 5 miles southeast of Thompson  

When: February 20, 2023 at 11:23 AM CST  

Road Conditions: Snow-covered  

Weather Conditions: Blowing snow  

Crash Involvement: Vehicle/Vehicle  

Type of Crash: Angle  

Involved: North Dakota Highway Patrol, Grand Forks Sheriff’s Office, Thompson Fire & Rescue, and Altru Ambulance Service  

Vehicle No. 1: 2011 Chevrolet Cruze  

Driver: Male; 21 years old; Waite Park, MN; non-life-threatening injuries  

Restraints: Airbags deployed and seatbelt in use  

Charges: Pending  

Passenger: Female; 26 years old; Little Falls, MN; fatal injures  

Restraints: Airbags deployed and seatbelt in use  

Vehicle No. 2: 2012 Kenworth  

Driver: Ross Radermacher; 28 years old; Amenia, ND; uninjured  

Restraints: Seatbelt in use  

Passenger: Curtis Mann; 39 years old; Durbin, ND; uninjured  

Restraints: Seatbelt in use  

NARRATIVE: The 2011 Chevrolet Cruze was northbound on 11th Street NE (County Road 81). The 2012 Kenworth was southbound on 11th Street NE. The Chevrolet crossed the centerline and struck the Kenworth at an angle. Both vehicles came to rest in the ditch. The passenger of the Chevrolet was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver and passenger of the Kenworth were uninjured. The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
