MSU Men’s Hockey Remain Retains No. 1 Ranking

Top Spot for Sixth Consecutive Ranking 

UNION LAKE, Mich. – Minot State University keeps the top spot in the 2022-2023 American Collegiate Hockey Association Men’s Division 1 Ranking No. 11 for the sixth consecutive ranking period.  The Beavers (19-0-0), undefeated in Men’s Division I action this season and No. 1 for the sixth consecutive ranking period, won four games this past week.  After pounding Colorado State University 7-0 at the Maysa Arena in Minot, N.D. on Monday, the Beavers traveled to the Battle at the Edge Showcase in Edmond, Okla., and defeated Illinois State University (5-1), University of Central Oklahoma (4-1), and University of Oklahoma (5-1).   

No. 2 Adrian College (18-2-1) swept a pair of Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League conference games over Western Michigan University, winning 13-1 on Thursday at home and 10-1 on Saturday in Kalamazoo, Mich.   

Ohio University (19-4-1) jumped up four spots to No. 3 after sweeping a pair of home games (7-0, 5-2) over Liberty University at Bird Arena in Athens, Ohio.   

No. 4 University of Nevada-Las Vegas (13-2-0) swept a pair of Western Collegiate Hockey League conference road games (5-0, 4-2) over University of Arizona at the Tucson Arena in Tucson, Ariz.   

Rounding out the Top 5 is Liberty University (12-7-0). 

Moving into the polls this week is No. 25 United States Naval Academy while dropping out of the Top 25 is University of Delaware.
