Where: Highway 85 near mile marker 151 approximately 1 mile west of Arnegard, ND  

When: January 23, 2023, at approximately 0630 AM CST  

Road Conditions: Icy  

Crash Involvement: Vehicle vs Vehicle  

Type of Crash: Side swipe  

Agencies Involved: North Dakota Highway Patrol, McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office, Arnegard Rural Fire Department, Arnegard First Responders, McKenzie County Ambulance, ND Department of Transportation. 

Vehicle No. 1: 2016 Chevrolet Colorado  

Driver No. 1: 48 year old, male, Watford City, ND - Injured  

Restraints: No seatbelt in use  

Vehicle No. 2: Unknown truck and flatbed trailer  

Driver No. 2: Unknown  

NARRATIVE: The Chevrolet was traveling eastbound on Highway 85. An unknown truck hauling a flatbed trailer was traveling westbound and crossed into the eastbound lanes. The unknown truck struck the Chevrolet and continued westbound. The driver of the Chevrolet sustained serious injuries and was transported to The McKenzie County Hospital.
