Dana Larsen Shares his Background

MINOT – It takes a lot to manage an entire county, but one man has mastered it for 15 years.

Dana Larsen, Ward County engineer, has lived in the Minot area since 1999.

Larsen began as assistant engineer for Ward County, and in January of 2008 was promoted to county engineer.

“I was born and raised northwest of Williston on a cattle and grain farm near Grenora,” said Larsen.

Larsen graduated from Grenora and went to college for civil engineering. He took the job for Ward County and has had it ever since graduating college.

“I enjoy the Minot area,” said Larsen. “Of course, we have friends and family in the area. We’re fairly active in our church. As far as working for Ward County, I think it’s wonderful. There’s always challenges, but I enjoy that. The fact that you can make a positive impact on a community is pretty rewarding.”
