 What: Injury Crash  

Where: Interstate 94 mm 275 (15 miles west of Valley City)  

When: 1/12/2023 at 9:11 Central Time  

Road Conditions: Patches of ice and frost  

Weather Conditions: Overcast  

Crash Involvement: One vehicle  

Type of Crash: Rollover  

Agencies Involved: North Dakota highway Patrol, Barnes County Sheriff’s Department, Barnes County Ambulance, and Valley City Fire Department.  

Vehicle No. 1: 2003 Ford Ranger  

Driver No. 1: 65-year-old male, Bismarck, ND, non-life-threatening injuries  

Restraints: Seatbelt in use 

 Charges: Under investigation  

NARRATIVE: A Ford Ranger was traveling westbound on Interstate 94. The male driver lost control and overcorrected entering the north ditch. The Ford Ranger then overturned and came to rest in the north ditch on it’s wheels. The driver was transported by Barnes County Ambulance to CHI Mercy Hospital in Valley City to be treated for injuries sustained in the crash.  

The crash is under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
