Type of Crash: Head on

Department of Transportation

Vehicle No. 1: 2008 Ford F-150

Driver No. 1: Betty Lee, 61-year-old female, Sidney, MT – Fatality

Restraints: Seatbelt not in use

Vehicle No. 2: 2021 Ram 5500

Driver No. 2: Michael Deck, 31 year old male, McPherson, KS - Uninjured

Restraints: Seatbelt in use

NARRATIVE:
The Ford F-150 was traveling northbound on Highway 85. The Ford lost control as it
negotiated the curve. The Ford entered the southbound lanes and struck the Ram 5500 that
was traveling southbound. The driver of the Ford was ejected and pronounced deceased on
scene. The driver of the Ram was uninjured.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
