What: Injury Crash  

Where: Intersection of Highway 83 and Highway 23, 15 miles south of Minot.  

When: August 4, 2022, at approximately 0803 AM CST  

Road Conditions: Good, Dry  

Weather Conditions: Clear  

Crash Involvement: Vehicle vs Vehicle  

Type of Crash: Angle  

Agencies Involved: NDHP, Ward County Sheriff’s Office, Max Rural Fire Department, Minot Community Ambulance  

Vehicle No. 1: 2000 Kenworth Truck Tractor  

Driver No. 1: Daniel Fuhrman, 62 year old, male, Bismarck, ND – Uninjured.  

Restraints: seatbelt in use  

Vehicle No. 2: 2012 Ford Escape  

Driver No. 2: Jace Larocque, 19 year old, male, Dunseith, ND – Serious injuries Restraints: seatbelt in use 

NARRATIVE: The Kenworth was traveling south on Highway 83. The Ford was traveling eastbound on Highway 23. The Ford stopped at the intersection then proceeded through crossing the southbound lanes of Highway 83. The Kenworth struck the driver side of the Ford. The driver of the Ford was airlifted to Trinity Health in Minot.
